Benefits of Bookkeeping Services

The rise of the online community has changed the way we do business forever. It has brought us closer to people who can help with our day to day operations and back-end business needs, allowing our businesses to run smoother and more profitably. A key area that makes a huge difference for successful business owners is bookkeeping services.

Bookkeeping is a lot like going to the dentist—no one really wants to take the time to do it, but neglecting the issue can lead to problems down the road. From start-ups to larger businesses, it’s always a good idea to budget for a bookkeeping service. Here are just a few of the benefits you can enjoy by hiring Sonnenburg Consulting to handle your bookkeeping needs:

1. Save Money

Bookkeeping rates are reasonable enough that even small businesses can afford to hire a bookkeeping service, allowing time to grow your ventures and focus on the things that matter most to you. The bottom line is that by outsourcing your bookkeeping operations to Sonnenburg Consulting, you will save money on paying full-time or part-time wages and benefits to an employee. You will also save on lost productivity costs that come with hiring employees onto your payroll. By outsourcing your bookkeeping, you only pay for what you need.

2. Expertise

Outsourcing your bookkeeping services is a great way to have full-time knowledge on your team without having to pay for it around the clock. By putting your books into the hands of Sonnenburg Consulting’s highly skilled staff who understand the best practices and how to properly manage certain tasks, your job becomes a whole lot easier and more effective. We have learned that one bookkeeper is sometimes not enough to find every subtle nuance that can benefit your company. By outsourcing with us, you will have a team of workers and managers checking and double checking each other’s work, helping to ensure that you receive the best services possible.

3. Flexibility

Outsourcing your bookkeeping allows you to expand or cutback in the blink of an eye. Whether you want to grow your business or cut down on spending, your reliable team at Sonnenburg Consulting will provide you with different plans and options that will help you achieve your goals. Outsourcing provides flexibility that in-house bookkeepers just can’t provide.

4. Pay Everything On Time

You know better than anyone that backend office functions can be a heavy distraction from the day-to-day running of things, and sometimes the small things are left undone. Outsourcing your bookkeeping operations gives you valuable time that you can put into bettering your company.
Paying bills is one of those chores that, when neglected, can have serious consequences. Sonnenburg Consulting offers expert bookkeeping services to keep track of your bills, making sure they are paid on time, and checking your statements for any discrepancies or unusual activity.

5. Payroll

You may be the only one now, but someday your business may grow to include more employees. Using a bookkeeping service is a great way to handle your payroll needs. We can write and create checks for you to sign, and will mail them out to your employees or deliver them to your office for you to give to workers. We can do the same thing for freelancers and contractors that you work with. In addition to payments, we will also prepare a W-2 or Form 1099 for each employee or contractor and will deliver all pertinent tax information to your accountant.

6. Reports

It’s true that many small business owners don't know the true financial state of their business. Without analyzing the financial health of your company on a regular basis, your business is sure to fail. Having access to important financial reports is crucial. We will generate the reports you need as often as you want them. Most businesses require financial reports on a bi-weekly basis, but some need one weekly, and a very small business may need reports only once a month. Whatever frequency you choose, we will prepare the reports for you so you will always know where your business stands, preventing problems in the future.

7. Focus on the Big Picture

If you're the kind of person who loves the big picture aspects of operating a business, you probably dread the detailed paperwork required to keep your business running. Closing a deal is exciting and rewarding, but opening a software program, creating invoices and entering payments received is a miserable task when you don't care for details. When you hire Sonnenburg Consulting as your bookkeeping serve, we will take care of those things for you. We use the best accounting software available, allowing us to log in from our offices in Salt Lake City to make those entries for you from your bank statements or reports.

8. Avoid Overdraft Fees and Additional Interest Payments

The duty that is most often delegated to bookkeeping services is bank reconciliation. Relying on your bank statements to give you a clear picture of your financial bottom line could leave you in ruins. Our bookkeepers will handle your accounts payable and accounts receivable, entering the information through your financial software so that you know what your real balance is. Because you won't make the mistake of writing a check for more than you have available, you will never need to worry about overdraft fees or other penalties.

Sonnenburg Consulting, based in Salt Lake City, offers a wide range of professional bookkeeping services for companies of all sizes, and high income clients throughout the United States. Enjoy the benefits of outsourcing your bookkeeping services as early as possible in your business. You won't regret saving time and money!
